We are thrilled to announce that COMET has been shortlisted for the "Inspiration from Innovation" award at the Northern Star Business Awards 2025! The ceremony, hosted by the Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce, celebrates businesses that are driving change, challenging conventional thinking, and delivering real impact within Aberdeen.

What are we nominated for?

Our nomination highlights COMET Signals, our AI-driven HSEQ analytics tool designed to help organisations identify risks, reduce incidents, and improve safety practices. COMET Signals harnesses AI and machine learning to analyse large amounts of incident reports, safety records, and operational data, helping organisations to uncover patterns and insights that are often not visible to the human eye.

By using natural language processing (NLP), COMET Signals can interpret industry-specific terminology and provide clear, data-driven recommendations through an interactive dashboard. This allows organisations to move beyond reactive incident reporting to a proactive, intelligence-led approach to safety and risk management.

The current impact of COMET Signals

COMET Signals is already making a difference in high-risk industries such as energy, rail, and construction. In a project with Network Rail, the system analysed tens of thousands of safety records, providing deep insights into hazard correlations, root causes, and emerging risks, helping to improve safety culture and reduce incidents.

Signals ability to process vast amounts of structured and unstructured HSEQ data, sets  a new standard for incident investigation, risk mitigation, and safety performance across multiple industries.
